Grant has a passion for all things design. From architecture to the warp and weft of a French fabric. But after 30+ years in the industry, he has found his forte in interior decorating products.

Grant Dorman, formerly of Goatham & Dorman Agencies, opened his Prahran-based showroom in 1999 with a view to providing decorators with a one-stop-shop for interior products.

Knowing the newest and greatest designs from around the world isn't an easy job. However, Grant strives to ensure that the range in his showroom combines both fresh and classic styles from the world's best fabric, furniture, and ornamental accessories manufacturers. In turn, he shares his research and industry knowledge with Melbourne's decorators.

Since the opening of his centrally-located Melbourne showroom, he has developed a wealth of experience and strong base of satisfied clients.

The trade-only showroom in Hawthorn is an extensive library of fabrics, furniture, wallpapers, lighting and decorative hardware for designers sourcing material. Grant and his staff support this with expert product knowledge and the constant release of new ranges.


Designers' Avenue Online (a brief note)
We are distributors of a wide variety of quality interior products to the furnishing trade. Within the bounds of this site, there are but a few products on display. But it is difficult to display them all. Fabrics are often too difficult to properly display on the internet. You can never get a feeling for the texture or true colour of the fabric. It is difficult to achieve a sense of dimension and angle when looking at 2-D images of furniture. And ornamental accessories must also be experienced in a three dimensional environ. Such is the beauty of our industry. The products we deal with day to day must be experienced - for their comfort and beauty is what we seek and must enjoy for years to come.
